Budget increases Regional Skilled Migration numbers

The recent Australian federal budget served to underline the skills shortage in Australia's regions. In 2011-2012 an additional 16000 places have been allocated to the Regional Skilled Migration Scheme. While a lot of work is available in the mining industries in Queensland and WA it pays to remember that regional Australia is defined quite broadly - essentially regional Australia is anywhere outside the metropolitan areas of Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and the Gold Coast. That leaves a whole lot of opportunities.

Under RSMS there are two visa categories depending on whether you are in or outside Australia at the time of application. Contact us now to see whether RSMS can work for you.
