State Migration Plans and the new Points Test

State Migration Plans for Queensland, Western Australia, Tasmania have now been released. This now leaves New South Wales yet to be published. Together with the new Points Test to be introduced on 1 July 2011 we now have a clearer idea of the migration landscape for the coming year.

MODL Review

Following months of rumour and guessing about proposed changes to the Migration Occupations in Demand List (MODL) the Australian Government last Friday issued the first of two discussion papers on the issue. The review is expected to be completed in October.
